We felt so lucky having Maddie as our trainer! We were completely desperate for help with our dog’s aggression towards other dogs when we reached out to Koru.
From our very first conversation Maddie was super clear about what we could hope to achieve through the program, and helped ensure our expectations were realistic. She was totally communicative throughout the 3 week board and train and I was confident Lucy was in great hands. We could see her progress week by week through the videos Maddie shared, and when she returned to us she was a totally different dog – in the best way possible.
Then we needed to be trained, and Maddie was patient in explaining how we would make or break the progress she’d achieved with Lucy. We learned how we’d been unintentionally affirming her bad behavior, and how we needed to interact with her consistently to cement the better behaviors we wanted instead.
I waited to write a review for a few months after she returned home so I could see how much everything stuck, but the changes have been permanent. We are all SO much happier day to day, (including Lucy!) whether we’re at home or out and about in the city. Grateful we invested in this training, and our only regret is not having done it sooner. Can’t recommend Maddie enough!
